What Is Insulin Resistance?

Share

In this video, I will answer a very frequently asked question: What is insulin resistance? In simple words, it is a defense mechanism of the body that arises due to an increase in sugar level in the blood due to carbohydrates present in food or intoxication in the body. After it is converted into glucose, it is processed in the flour and small intestine. The glucose then gets absorbed in the blood vessels present here and enters the blood. The pancreas, or labula, rejects the insulin hormone when glucose is detected in the blood. Sugar is taken out of the blood and transported to the cells. Here,This glucose produces energy, which is then used by the Now, insulin’s job here is to prevent the sugar level in the blood from increasing too much. More is equivalent to approximately 100 mg of sugar. It should not be more than this, which is the fasting glucose level. It is approximately less than a teaspoon. If we talk about the total volume of blood, it means an average person needs only this much sugar for activity. According to the level, according to his daily work load, now if someone is eating too much sugar, eating more than required, then more sugar is produced and then when this extra sugar is taken to the insulin cells, the body The cells of the body reject it, refuse to take it and start resisting insulin and this condition is called insulin resistance. An average person in Pakistan eats 14 teaspoons of sugar daily, this is an average number and it is approximately 24 kg annually. Now you will probably be able to understand it easily, whereas our body does not need that much sugar. Now the question arises that why is this so and why does the body try so hard to keep the blood sugar level below 100. And this is the most important point, this happens because if this continues for a long time, if the sugar in the blood keeps increasing all the time, then the body organs start getting damaged, this includes neuropathies. The damage to the nerves is called neuropathies, nerves of the hands, nerves of the feet. Which is common in diabetics? Weakness, it is called in Urdu, due to optic nerve damage, eyes can get damaged, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, if we understand this seriously, then there are three main things in our food: Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates directly. – It is simply glucose or sugar and this is a myth and a false truth. It is a common thing that the body’s favorite fuel source is sugar. This question is raised that if someone is not eating sugar and is not eating carbohydrates, then how will the body run? Then this argument is given. That is because the body chooses between protein and carbohydrates and uses carbohydrates first, if given the choice, it uses carbohydrates first and then goes towards protein and uses it and it is a better fuel source than As for protein, it is actually a myth. The truth is that the body goes after sugar first because sugar is more damaging. It is not good for the body for it to stay in the blood for a long time.
